  • Is an account required to use VELA?
    Yes, registration within the app is required to access the full range of VELA's functionality. The only exception is for individuals who receive an invitation to a video conference from a VELA user or moderator, allowing them to participate without a full account.
  • Where does VELA store my organization's data?
    For enhanced security, VELA allows clients to manage and access their data independently. Businesses have the flexibility to host the platform either on their own premises or within their private cloud infrastructure.
  • Does VELA access the business data of its clients?
    VELA cannot access clients' business data without explicit authorization.
  • How can I participate in a video conference?
    To join a video conference meeting, click on the link provided by the moderator or use the 'Join' button in the application.
  • How can I schedule a video conference meeting?
    To schedule video conferences, please visit meet.vela.business. You will be prompted to enter your client ID, username, and password to proceed.
  • Can individuals who are not VELA users join a video conference meeting?
    Non-VELA users can be invited by the moderator during the meeting scheduling process.
  • How can I initiate screen sharing?
    Users can initiate screen sharing by selecting the 'Screen Share' button located on the toolbar at the bottom of their screen.
  • How can I initiate screen recording?
    To initiate screen recording, click the three dots on the toolbar and select the screen record button. You can choose to record audio only, video only, or both. Additionally, you will be prompted to specify the location for saving the recordings.
  • Is it possible to schedule and organize meetings within a calendar using VELA?
    You can download meeting information to external calendars, such as Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar.
  • Is there a feature for adjusting bandwidth usage during a video conference?
    Users can manage their bandwidth consumption by adjusting a slider from "Best Performance" to "Best Quality" during the meeting.
  • How can I establish breakout sessions during a video conference?
    To establish breakout sessions, the moderator should click the "Participants" tab located on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
  • What is the purpose of VELA Tracks?
    VELA Tracks are group chat rooms designed to facilitate collaboration among key contributors on specific projects, tasks, or within particular departments.

    All messages in VELA are end-to-end encrypted, ensuring the highest levels of security and privacy.

    In both Chats and Tracks, users can share photos, videos, audio files, documents, locations, and contacts by using the "paper pin" icon located at the bottom right of the app.

    V-Folders centralize communications, shared data, and attachments, securely archiving them for future audits by system administrators, thereby ensuring comprehensive information accountability.

    Audio calls can be initiated in two ways: VELA to VELA Account: Select the desired contact from your VELA account to start the call. VELA Account to GSM Call: Enter the recipient's phone number in the designated field to initiate the call, which the recipient will receive as a regular phone call.
