VELA can be installed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Additionally, users can access VELA through our web client.

Do I need an account to use VELA?

Indeed, registration within the app is necessary to unlock its full functionality. The only exception for non-VELA users to access the system is through an invitation to a video conference by a VELA user moderator.

Where is my organization's data stored by VELA

For enhanced security, clients are encouraged to independently manage and access their data. VELA offers the flexibility for businesses to host the platform either on their organizations premises or within their private cloud.

Does VELA access clients' business data?

VELA cannot access clients' business data without explicit permission.

Messaging

For what purpose are VELA Tracks utilized

 VELA Tracks are group chat rooms for two or more users, intended to facilitate collaboration among key contributors in specific projects, tasks, or departments.

Are VELA messages encrypted in transit?

All messages in VELA are end-to-end encrypted, ensuring maximum security and privacy.

What can users share on the VELA app?

 Whether in Chats or Tracks, users have the option to share photos, videos, audios, documents, locations, and contacts through the "paper pin" icon located at the bottom right of the app.

How do I install VELA?

Video Conferencing

How can I participate in a video conference meeting?

 To join a video conference meeting, click on the link provided by the moderator or use the 'Join' button in the mobile application.

How can I schedule a video conference meeting?

To schedule video conferences, visit meet.vela.business. The link will prompt you to provide your client ID, username, and password.

Can individuals who are not VELA users join a video conference meeting?

 Non-VELA users can be invited by the moderator during the meeting scheduling process.

How can I initiate screen sharing?

Users can initiate screen sharing by clicking on the 'screen share' button located on the toolbar at the bottom of their screen.

How can I initiate screen recording?

Access the screen recording feature by clicking the three dots on the toolbar, then selecting the screen record button. Choose between recording audio only, video only, or both. You will also be prompted to specify the location for saving recordings.

Is it possible to schedule and organize meetings within a calendar using VELA?

You can download meeting information to external calendars, such as Google or Outlook calendar.

Is there a mechanism for adjusting bandwidth usage during a video conference?

Users can manage their bandwidth consumption by adjusting a bar from best performance to best quality during the meeting.

How do I establish breakout sessions during a video conference?

To initiate breakout rooms, the moderator should click the Participants tab located in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

Audio & Video Calling

What is the procedure for initiating an audio call?

  Audio calls can be initiated in two ways:
1. VELA to VELA account: Initiate a call by selecting the desired contact from your VELA account.
2. VELA account to GSM call: Enter the recipient's phone number in the designated field and initiate the call. The recipient will receive a regular phone call.

What is the process for initiating a video call?

Initiate video calls through the desktop or mobile application by clicking the "Video Call" button in the top left corner of the user's profile. Alternatively, initiate video calls from the browser using the following link: [add the link].

Do video and audio calls utilize encryption protocols?

 All video and audio calls are protected by end-to-end encryption.

Is remote access to VELA permitted?

Authorized users may access VELA remotely, adhering to the organization's established policies.
